Whether you are in a school or college, an environmental protection club can help you to find and become involved with environmentally conscious activities. These organizations are run by college students, and you can find a wide variety of them. Here are some clubs to check out SQM Club and other Clubs below.
Allen High School
Taking environmental awareness and stewardship to the next level, the Allen High School Environmental Protection club is a volunteer organization dedicated to sustainability and promoting the environment. They participate in local clean-up and conservation efforts, as well as generating innovative ideas for solving environmental problems.
Their most notable project involves planting native species in an area of federally protected water runoff. The planting will create a habitat for amphibians, and help reduce erosion. The students have also developed plans to invite the community to help preserve this area.
Other activities include participating in Allen Recycles Day. This is an annual event that encourages students to recycle, and also encourages them to volunteer.
Jingyuetan Experimental Elementary School
Previously called Huang Gang middle school, Jingyuetan Experimental Elementary School is one of the leading schools in southeastern Beijing. The school was established in September 2010 and has more than 4,000 students. The school also trains core teachers and aims to promote ecological technology education and sustainable development.
The school’s ecological education club has won five national awards, including the “Green Flag” award. It has also been reported by China’s brand education network and Beijing Morning news. The Ecological Civilization Club has participated in more than 70 ecological communicate activities at the municipal level, and has cultivated the ecological awareness and comprehensive quality of students. In the future, the club will be introduced into primary school courses.
Devon Preparatory School
During their junior and senior years, students participate in various recreational and service-oriented trips. In addition to enjoying the beautiful beaches and cultural experiences of Naples, Florida and King of Prussia, the students have opportunities to serve their communities.
The Environmental Protection Club at Devon Preparatory School is designed to promote environmental awareness among students. This club plans service-oriented trips and runs a recycling program. The club is also responsible for planning the school’s Earth Day event. This year the club is adding more recycling bins and reusable coffee cups. The club will also prepare for Earth Week activities.

Getting involved in an environmentally friendly group is a great way to get more from your college experience. There are many student organizations focused on sustainability and promoting a more eco-friendly Columbia. Some of the most popular are the Columbia Aquanauts and the Sustainability Management Club. These student groups are both student-driven and student-led. They are responsible for engaging students from various academic disciplines and promoting campus environmental awareness. They also provide internship programs and consulting projects to help students hone their sustainability skills. Some of their projects are more ambitious than others.
Columbia Journal of Environmental Law

Its website provides links to the various CLEs that the university offers as well as information about the various fellowships available to students.
Barnard EcoReps and Barnard Environmentalists
During the fall of 2015, Barnard EcoReps joined the Barnard Environmentalists to form an environmental protection club on campus.
